Head Boys Golf Coach

Summary
Park Rapids High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our boys golf program as a Head Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the game, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. This seasonal position requires effective communication, organizational skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate young golfers to achieve their personal and team goals.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that enhances the skills and performance of student-athletes.
- Organize and conduct daily practices, ensuring a focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Plan and coordinate the competition schedule, including meets and tournaments.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and promote a balance between academics and athletics.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team policies, schedules, and expectations.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
- Collaborate with school administration and other coaches to promote the golf program and increase participation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations set forth by the school and governing athletic bodies.
- Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay updated on the latest coaching techniques and trends in golf.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of the game of golf, including rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff.
- Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred or must be obtained prior to the start of the season.
- Must pass a background check as required by the school district.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the golf season.
