Cox Fleet is currently hiring a CDL B Driver – Vehicle Porter to join our Shop Team and support the future growth of the Company.
Responsibilities- Shuttle commercial vehicles to and from our maintenance shop and customers in the surrounding area, returning home each evening.
- Pick up and deliver parts from local parts stores or distribution centers back to the maintenance shop.
- Provide excellent customer service by exceeding customers’ expectations.
- Contribute to the achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals and objectives.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
- Attend management meetings when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience in a related field (or a comparable combination of education and experience).
- A valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Between 1 and 3 years of CDL driving experience.
- Capacity to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.
- Ability to read and follow maps, routes, and GPS systems.
- Demonstrated customer‑service experience with internal and external contacts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with local geography.
- Compliance with DOT FMCSA regulations, including a successful background screening and a DOT physical.
- Current and valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining (or a DOT physical if expiration is within four months).
- Minimum age of 21 years and possession of a valid state driver’s license required for interstate operation.
- 3‑year Motor Vehicle Records review required; maintain Driver Qualification File.
