This posting is a multi-level posting for penings in the District 1 Two Harbors Truck Station. If this position is not filled by qualified applicants at the Transportation Generalist level, the positions will be filled at the Transportation Associate level.

The Transportation Associate and Transportation Generalist are the first two levels in our Transportation Specialist Series. These positions are important in our work as they help maintain our roads and are crucial in our efforts to keep friends, family, and our communities traveling safely. In the summer, we focus on maintenance and repair, where in the winter, we focus on snow and ice removal, as well as other maintenance.

The Transportation Associate is a trainee position. In this role we train you in our work and, with successful performance, will promote you to the Transportation Generalist job title/classification after one year of training. Below are some examples of typical work for both the Transportation Associate and Transportation Generalist roles. The actual day-to-day work will be assigned based on the project or immediate need in support of keeping our families, friends and communities traveling safely through all weather and seasonal conditions.
