Yard Associate

• Spirit Lake Lumber is a contractor-focused independent lumberyard serving the Menahga area with quality building materials and dependable service. We're looking for a reliable Yard Associate to join our team - someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with customers, and stays focused on safety. Full-time or part-time, $15.00 - $25.00+ per hour based on experience.

The top of our pay range is real. If you can run deliveries, own receiving, and keep a yard organized without being told, you're not applying to be a yard hand - and we'll pay you like it.

• Weekdays 7:45 to 5:00, with a full hour for lunch
• - Every other Saturday morning, 8:00 to noon
• - 10 holidays a year - and we close for BOTH November deer opener Saturdays

Want your CDL? We'll pay half the cost of training, up to $3,000, through our CDL sponsorship program. No CDL is required to start.

• Assist customers with orders and returns - providing friendly, efficient service
• - Pull and stage orders accurately by item type, style, and quantity
• - Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks; verify counts and inspect for damage
• - Secure loads properly and deliver materials to job sites locally and regionally
• - Restock inventory and return materials to proper locations
• - Complete required paperwork - orders, received materials, forklift inspections
• - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
• - Assist with snow removal and ice control during winter months

• High school diploma or GED
• - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - no CDL required to start
• - 6+ months of forklift experience preferred - willing to train the right candidate
• - 6+ months in building materials (construction, retail, or lumber) preferred
• - Basic math, communication, and computer skills
• - Knowledge of safe lifting techniques
• - Dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working outdoors year-round

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs
• - Ability to work with others to move items over 75 lbs
• - Frequent walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• - Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
