The Feed Warehouse employee is responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the feed warehouse and related facilities. This position is responsible for receiving, handling, storing, loading, and delivering feed and related products while providing courteous and professional customer service. The employee will help maintain accurate inventory records, keep the warehouse and equipment clean and organized, and follow all safety and cooperative policies.

Responsibilities include warehouse operations, customer service, product handling, equipment and facility maintenance, safety, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned by management.

The Feed Warehouse employee will maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative.

Receive, unload, store, and organize feed and related products.

Load feed and related products for customer pickup and delivery.

Assist customers with loading and unloading products.

Maintain accurate lot tracking of bagged feed and other warehouse products.

Rotate inventory using first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate low or damaged inventory to the Feed Manager.

Accurately complete sales, transfer, delivery, or other required tickets and records.

Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.

Maintain an organized warehouse to ensure products are easily located and accessible.

Inspect incoming products for damage or quality concerns and report issues to the Feed Manager.

Assist with feed preparation, mixing, grinding, or other feed-related operations as assigned and trained.

Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, skid loaders, and other equipment when properly trained and authorized.

Assist with deliveries as assigned.

Attend product training and cooperative meetings as requested.

Follow established procedures for handling, storing, and transporting feed products.

Greet customers promptly and courteously with a friendly attitude.

Assist customers with loading and unloading products.

Answer the telephone promptly and courteously.

Provide customers with basic product and warehouse information within the scope of training.

Refer customer questions, complaints, pricing concerns, or other issues requiring management attention to the Feed Manager.

Accurately complete sales and delivery documentation.

Communicate delivery details clearly and accurately.

Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance.

Provide customer service that reflects positively on the cooperative.

Safety and maintenance involves following all applicable safety regulations and helping maintain equipment and facilities in safe working condition.

Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.

Follow all cooperative safety policies and procedures.

Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Operate equipment only when properly trained and authorized.

Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, spills, or other safety concerns to the Feed Manager.

Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and work area.

Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards throughout the feed warehouse and related areas.

Assist with routine cleaning and maintenance of warehouse and feed equipment.

Report equipment problems or needed repairs to the Feed Department Manager.

Properly maintain and clean delivery vehicles and equipment used in the course of assigned duties.

Follow proper procedures for handling feed, equipment, chemicals, and other materials.

Understand the basic requirements and responsibilities of the Feed Warehouse Employee position.

Develop and maintain knowledge of feed products, warehouse procedures, equipment, and safety practices necessary to perform the job effectively.

Complete required training and remain current on procedures applicable to the position.

Perform assigned duties accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

Follow established procedures for handling, storing, loading, and delivering products.

Take care to prevent product damage, loss, or contamination.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Cooperate with co-workers and management to safely, effectively, and accurately complete daily work.

Assist other employees with warehouse and feed-related duties when needed.
