Rainbow Companies is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team! This role is responsible for processing, tracking, and recording customer payments accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. This role will complete weekly internal payment reminders and will work closely with a third-party collections vendor to support collection efforts and ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances. You will assist customers with billing questions, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with internal departments to address customer needs and resolve issues.
Responsibilities also include processing credits and refunds as required and providing support for other finance-related tasks and initiatives as needed.
This is a full-time position that will be out of our Minnetonka, Minnesota headquarters. We are 100% employee-owned, value-based, and committed to workplace diversity.
What You Will Do- Process and post cash receipts accurately
- Prepare service adjustments and refunds
- Manage credit and collections activities
- Track overdue invoices and send reminders via text, email, mail, and third-party collections
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
- Manage customer payment plans
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
- Assist customers with account and billing inquiries
- Support Office Manager with miscellaneous tasks
- High school diploma or a GED
- 5+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Acumatica, Real Green, Pest Pac, Arborgold

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
