The Role
Are you the type of person who constantly notices what's new before everyone else? Do you enjoy figuring out why people buy certain products, spotting patterns others miss, or diving into research just because you're curious?
We are looking for an intellectually curious, motivated individual to join our team. In the Associate Retail Research & Shopper Insights role you’ll work with our creative and sales teams, to provide trend forward product ideas across all categories as well as assist with shopper surveys to capture insights that will drive future product and brand opportunities. This position will require the candidate to use a combination of industry and trend research, shopper insights and AI tools along with independent judgment to provide internal teams, clients and brands curated insights to deliver on business needs.

- Research emerging consumers, lifestyle, retail, and product trends
- Explore social media, retailers, online marketplaces, and industry publications to identify emerging ideas
- Collaborate with creative team and sales partners to provide actionable insights
- Assist in developing shopper surveys and help analyze results to understand what shoppers value and why they make purchasing decisions
- Research competing brands, products, packaging, pricing, and merchandising strategies
- Organize research findings into clear presentations and visual reports
- Participate in brainstorming sessions that turn consumer insights into future product ideas
- Build collaborative relationships with sales teams and brands to drive merchandising recommendations
- Continually identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies by evaluating and streamlining workload
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Design, or a related field
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity, naturally curious and are a self-starter with a passion for research, learning, and exploring new ideas
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize patterns and connect information
- Creative thinker with an interest in consumer products, design, retail, and shopper behavior
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working through ambiguity while taking initiative
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build strong rapport with internal and external relationships
- Comfortable working with both data and creative ideas to develop actionable insights
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or AI research tools is a plus
1-2 years’ experience is preferred. If you're naturally curious, enjoy solving problems, and are eager to learn, we'll provide training and mentorship to help you build expertise in trend forecasting, shopper insights, and retail innovation.
