Eureka Kids is expanding! We are a locally owned and licensed
Childcare Center in Rochester, MN. We provide S.M.A.R.T.E.R.Childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Eureka Kids willfocuson the development of the whole child with hands-on learning and play-based experiences in a nurturing and diverse environment tohelp prepare them for a lifetime of learning.

The Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects ofthe care, education, supervision and management of the childrenenrolled in their classroom. Responsibilities include, but aren’tlimited to the following: providing a safe, nurturing and culturally diverse environment, physical and emotional caregiving and support,developmentally and age appropriate curriculum planningandassessments, developing and maintaining positive relationships with students and their parents, co-workers, center directors and facility owners.
Additionally this person should:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED, have required hours ofrelated child care experience as a teacher, assistant teacher,aide or intern. The hours of work experience requirement isbasedon the individual’s educational background, earned degrees,credentials, and/or completed required quarter credits.
Qualifications are based on Minnesota DHS Licensing’sminimumrequirements for classroom lead teachers. - Possess or successfully complete CPR / First Aid Certification.
- Have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practices in Early Childhood Education.
- Be comfortable working and participating in a team-based setting,with an ability to demonstrate flexibility while working in thechild care environment.
- Display a supportive and warm disposition and attitude while working with children and families.
- Be able to communicate, interact and work eff ectively and cooperatively with all people, including those from diverseethnic, educational and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Demonstrate initiative, be conscientious, organized, and reliable,and provide follow-through in all areas of responsibility.
- Be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds, and work in all weather conditions.
- Be able to bend, stoop and/or sit at low levels and reach highenough to allow physical and visual contact with children, see andhear well enough to keep children safe, and engage inphysicalactivity with children.
