Assignment: School year – part‑time afternoon and full‑time positions available at multiple elementary schools
Wages:
- Starting at $21.94 per hour
- This position qualifies for a stipend from a DHS Stabilization Grant.

- Full‑time positions are benefit eligible at 30 hours or more a week

To support and supervise children in grades K‑5 before and after school at an elementary school site. Plan activities, manage program spaces, and supervise children. Provide guidance and ensure the safety of all students.
Job Responsibilities- Supervise and provide guidance for students. Manage program spaces, lead activities and provide guidance to Program Assistants and Program Aides.
- Create developmentally appropriate and engaging activities for students.
- Provide a safe, caring, fun environment for children including use of the site tracking system. Maintain accurate attendance records in Eleyo.
- Support students and ensure safety during non‑school day programming both at our schools and on field trips in the community.
- Establish a positive and friendly relationship with parents.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Complete required child care, first aid & CPR training prior to the first day of employment. Online training links will be provided by employer.
- Complete a required number of staff development hours annually.
Must meet ONE of the education and work experience requirements listed below.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated field AND three months of related experience.
- AA or two years of college in a related field or equivalent certificate with six months of related experience.
- An equivalent of one year full time work experience in childcare with Explorers OR an equivalent of two years childcare experience at the same level in a different program OR an equivalent of 3 years full time childcare in a lesser role in a different program.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Positive interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
- Evidence of successful experience working with young children in a child care setting.
Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
