Wages and Benefits

Starting at $20.71 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Observe and guide student behavior and enforce all school rules and policies in the building's hallways, lunchroom, commons, and parking lot.
  • Greet visitors at entrance doors.
  • Assist a classroom teacher in supervision duties as needed.
  • Address student to student conflicts.
  • Escort students throughout the building as requested.
  • Deliver discipline slips to classrooms.
  • Provide assistance during an emergency.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with elementary and high school age students preferred.
  • Evidence of good interpersonal skills with students and staff.
  • Evidence of good judgment in crisis situations.
  • Evidence of self-motivation.
  • Evidence of punctuality and reliability.
  • Evidence of flexibility in assignments.
  • Willingness to receive training.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, courteous demeanor when dealing with students and adults who are angry/upset.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
