Spanish Immersion Camp Counselor
Primary Position Objective:
To plan, implement, and lead a theme-based Spanish immersion summer camp program for preschool and elementary aged students and ensure a safe and fun atmosphere for all participants.
Assignment: 7/13 - 7/17 (Preschool Safari Adventure Week), Mon-Fri, 9am - 12pm 7/20 - 7/24 (Around the World Week), Mon-Fri, 9am - 12pm 7/27 - 7/31 (The Great Outdoors Week), Mon-Fri, 9am - 12pm
Wages: $ 20.60 Rates can be found in Appendix
C. Not medical or dental benefit eligible.
Primary Objective of Position:
To plan, implement, and lead a theme-based Spanish immersion summer camp program for preschool and elementary aged students and ensure a safe and fun atmosphere for all participants.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and carry out age-appropriate activities, games, songs and lessons consistent with class goals.
- Manage classroom activities: supervise and provide guidance for participants and student assistant.
- Provide a safe, caring, fun environment for children.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Job Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. degree in education, child development, or a related field.
- Demonstrated successful experience in a Spanish immersion program preferred.
- Evidence of successful experience working with elementary aged students.
- Evidence of positive interpersonal skills; ability to relate well to children and adults.
- Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
