Minnesota 5-12 Technology or license eligible to teach Technology-Computer Science related courses. Compensation:
Rates for this position can be found in the teacher collective bargaining agreement and salary schedule. This position is medical and dental benefit eligible.
Job duties and responsibilities include developing lesson plans and instructional materials, providing individualized and small group instruction, establishing standards of pupil behavior, evaluating pupils' academic and social growth, communicating regularly with parents, working collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors, maintaining and improving professional skills, participating in a professional learning community, and integrating technology into instruction.
Specific responsibilities include collaborative work in a fast-paced environment, supporting and communicating with other administrators and staff, responding in emergency situations, knowing and following school district policies, planning and coordinating the work of paraprofessionals and volunteers, and providing input to the goal-setting process for paraprofessionals.
Knowledge and skills required include demonstrated ability to apply appropriate skills in performing daily routines, ability to operate a computer, software and necessary classroom technology, ability to develop effective and positive working relationships, maintaining professional composure, showing initiative and functioning as a self-starter, and effectively communicating and having interpersonal skills.
