Compensation (Pay/Benefits)We offer competitive pay ranging from $44,600 to $52,400, depending on qualifications (licensure and experience). The salary reflects a 40‑hour workweek, annualized. Any agreed‑upon reduction in weekly hours will be reflected in salary commensurately. This position is benefits eligible, including health and dental insurance, a health savings account with an employer contribution, flexible spending accounts, and a retirement account with matching contribution.
Additional benefits include generous PTO, a paid holiday schedule, childcare discount, and eligibility for loan forgiveness.
Monday‑Friday, 40 hours per week. Schedule varies with daily shifts between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Program SummaryJoin a team of talented early childhood education specialists dedicated to changing the lives of children. For more than 60 years, St. David’s Center has provided the highest quality early childhood education to typically developing children and children with special needs ages 16 months to five years.
Position Overview- Assist in implementing classroom activities around themes or concepts that incorporate the interests of the classroom community.
- Maintain flexibility to allow children’s interests to guide classroom direction.
- Lead activities as requested by the Head Teacher.
- Establish and maintain positive, pleasant, and trusting relationships with parents, respecting their individual needs and maintaining professional and appropriate boundaries.
- Take responsibility for the organization, cleaning, and maintenance of classroom materials and common spaces.
- Partner with, nurture, and guide children in all areas of development.
- Actively participate with children.
- Model acceptable behaviors and utilize behavior management techniques in the classroom.
- Discipline calmly and in a positive manner.
- Follow the St. David’s Center and DHS Behavior Policy.

Job Qualifications Education- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in any field with 1,040 hours as an assistant teacher, aide, or student intern with 18 quarter credit education hours.
- First Aid & CPR certification required.
- Early Childhood Teaching Experience Required.
- Knowledge of NAEYC Standards and DHS Licensing Rule 3 requirements preferred.
- Experience working with students with special education needs preferred.
