Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Senior Engineering Technician/Designer to join our Land Development team.
Responsibilities- Review project scope and confer with project engineer concerning tasks required such as plan preparation, evaluation of field conditions, design requirements, and/or reports.
- Use computer equipment including engineering and design modeling software to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Support and communicate with engineers, project managers and other supervisors throughout all stages of the drafting, design and construction process.
- Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings.
- Apply Westwood Company CAD standard, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings.
- Collaborate in a team environment.
- Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents.
- Plot and check drawings.
- Be willing to take on other duties as assigned.
- Perform basic design tasks.
- Basic engineering knowledge along with current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other discipline specific software.
- Possess basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities.
- Attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam.
- Willingness to learn and grow is a must.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Engineering design skills and knowledge.
- 5+ Years of industry specific Land Development experience.
