Senior Engineering Technician​/Designer

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Senior Engineering Technician/Designer to join our Land Development team.

• Review project scope and confer with project engineer concerning tasks required such as plan preparation, evaluation of field conditions, design requirements, and/or reports.
• Use computer equipment including engineering and design modeling software to prepare engineering and design documents.
• Support and communicate with engineers, project managers and other supervisors throughout all stages of the drafting, design and construction process.
• Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings.
• Apply Westwood Company CAD standard, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings.
• Collaborate in a team environment.
• Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents.
• Plot and check drawings.
• Be willing to take on other duties as assigned.
• Perform basic design tasks.

• Basic engineering knowledge along with current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other discipline specific software.
• Possess basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities.
• Attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam.
• Willingness to learn and grow is a must.

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Engineering design skills and knowledge.
• 5+ Years of industry specific Land Development experience.
