Co-op Biomedical Engineer role based in Minnetonka, MN

Job Purpose:

• The Co-op works under limited supervision to assist R&D engineers, technicians and teams with building and shipping heart models, testing of medical devices, fixture design and misc. lab functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in building and shipping heart models.
• Creating/molding tissue targets for model
• Conduct design verification testing.
• Adhere to good lab and documentation practices

Quality system duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure quality is built into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be currently enrolled at an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering program GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Minimum of one-year relevant experience
• Proficient in test methodologies
• Strong mechanical, analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Candidate must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the 6-month Co-op session.

Pay range:

$20/hr.

- $25/hr.
