Description
Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Surveyor to join our team. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, quality assurance/quality control, and completion of survey projects in Westwood’s Renewables Division.
RequirementsDuties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects and monitor the operational effectiveness throughout.
- Serve as subject matter expert for survey related activities such as construction staking, topographic surveying, platting, legal description writing, boundary analysis, exhibit preparation, and legal principles.
- Work with the Project Manager to define project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements.
- Work with Project Manager to evaluate project budget, scope, and fee.
- Comply with and help enforce company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct team meetings with project team to evaluate and coordinate the project.
- Stay current on service-specific trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to project team staff as needed.
- Be responsible for quality control and quality assurance related to the survey activities on each project.
- Ensure division, regional, and company policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
- Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
Required Experience:
- A professional survey license with multi-state licensure is preferred.
- Four-year degree preferred and/or 10-plus years of experience in a consulting business.
- Effective verbal and written communication is necessary and independent judgment is essential.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Handle multiple priorities and projects well.
