Business Banking Relationship Officer II

As one of UMB’s leading lines of business, the Business Banking Relationship Officer helps grow the Business Banking loan portfolio and sells related revenue‑generating services to clients while maintaining profitable growth of the portfolio.

• Sell Commercial & Industrial, Practice Finance, and Payment Technology solutions to companies with annual revenues between $1M and $20M.
• Build and maintain relationships with business owners, CFOs, CEOs, and controllers in the community.
• Manage existing business by sustaining relationship profitability, portfolio risk, and the growth of loan, deposit, and fee income.
• Utilize networking, credit analysis, negotiation, and communication skills to qualify companies, negotiate loan proposals, evaluate credit requests, and draft loan commitments for approval.
• Serve as the primary contact for all financial services to individual business clients to ensure retention of business.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of commercial lending experience.
• Experience in sales to small businesses, credit knowledge, and credit underwriting.
• Strategic industry sales knowledge and marketing abilities.

Salary ranges vary by location. Base pay for U.S. employees ranges from $63,830 to $109,460 depending on geographic area, with additional compensation such as annual incentives.
