Job Posting
To perform building, property maintenance, and rental housing inspections to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Review construction plans, prepare written comments, and provide recommendations for permit issuance. Investigate alleged code violations and initiate appropriate enforcement actions when warranted. Interpret, apply, and clearly communicate code requirements to businesses, residents, property owners, contractors, and City staff. Provide support and assistance to building, zoning, and other code enforcement functions as assigned by the Building Official or Community Development Director.
