Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst with hands‑on expertise in UKG/Ulti Pro to support multi‑state payroll processing, compliance, and system optimization. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring payroll accuracy, improving payroll workflows, and contributing to ongoing system enhancements. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, deep payroll knowledge, and a passion for process improvement.
Responsibilities- Process and audit multi‑state, multi‑entity payroll in UKG with a high level of accuracy
- Review and reconcile payroll data, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Analyze payroll trends, identify discrepancies, and recommend process improvements
- Support payroll tax filings, wage adjustments, and benefit deductions
- Partner with HR, Finance, and leadership teams to resolve payroll‑related issues
- Assist with system testing, configuration updates, and UKG enhancement projects
- Prepare payroll reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership review
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive data
- 3–6+ years of payroll experience, preferably in mid‑size or multi‑location environments
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, wage laws, garnishments, and tax requirements
- Experience with payroll reporting and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
