**** Old Republic Title is seeking a Claims Counsel
** to evaluate, manage, and resolve title insurance claims nationwide. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

*** This is a hybrid position (3 days in office) based out of our Minnetonka, MN office location.
***** Daily responsibilities may include**:
* Process and manage title claims from states on a national level.
* Claims management includes investigating and determining coverage, correspondence with insured as to coverage and status: statutory compliance resolving title defects, directing defenses with outside counsel, negotiating settlements mitigating losses for the company, determining agent liability, and pursuing/preserving recovery.
* Review and track expenditures related to claims.
* Own a customer’s issue from initial contact to resolution or transition the issue to the appropriate person.
* Ensure company policies and financial controls are understood and uniformly followed and administered and ensure work activities are carried out in compliance with federal, state and local laws.

* Education:

** Juris Doctor. Licensed to practice law. If not licensed by the state bar at employee’s office location, they must be permitted to act as corporate counsel in that state.
** Skills and Experience required to be successful:
*** Knowledge of title insurance and real estate closing transactions is preferred; however, strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills with an interest in real estate/title law will also be considered.
* Aptitude for processing and organizing large volume of documentation and written communications.
* Written and verbal communications are clear, grammatically correct and business appropriate.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
* Problem solving ability to effectuate solution for covered claims.
