This is a hybrid position (3 days in office) based out of our Minnetonka, MN office location.

• Process and manage title claims from states on a national level.
• Investigate and determine coverage, correspond with insured as to coverage and status, comply with statutory requirements to resolve title defects, direct defenses with outside counsel, negotiate settlements to mitigate losses for the company, determine agent liability, and pursue/preserve recovery.
• Review and track expenditures related to claims.
• Own a customer’s issue from initial contact to resolution or transition the issue to the appropriate person.
• Ensure company policies and financial controls are understood, uniformly followed and administered, and that work activities comply with federal, state, and local laws.

Juris Doctor. Licensed to practice law. If not licensed by the state bar at employee’s office location, a permit must be obtained to act as corporate counsel in that state.

• Knowledge of title insurance and real‑estate closing transactions is preferred; however, strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills with an interest in real‑estate/title law will also be considered.
• Aptitude for processing and organizing large volumes of documentation and written communications.
• Written and verbal communications are clear, grammatically correct, and business appropriate.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
• Problem‑solving ability to effectuate solutions for covered claims.

Some travel is expected for company events or claims work.

The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Factors which may be used to determine the actual pay rate may include, but are not limited to, education, training or experience; seniority; merit and work performance; quantity or quality of production; regional differences in compensation; differences in local minimum wages, or ability and effort.
