Assemblies Maintenance Technician
The Assemblies Maintenance Technician has primary responsibility to perform preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment used in the Assemblies Department at the Minnetonka plant. Secondary responsibility is working to assemble engineered equipment with the assembly team.
Key Characteristics
- Experience repairing and maintaining some to all of the listed fabrication and other equipment including welders, machining equipment (lathes, drill presses/mills, punches, etc.), saws and modular storage units.
- Willingness and ability to work between maintenance and assembly work.
- Ability to assemble PVC and fabricated metal piping spools per applicable quality and EHS standards.
- Ability to work from engineering drawings and understand engineering and quality specifications.
- Ability to participate as a key member of an assembly team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Follows all EHS rules and produces quality work.
- Assists with other departments as needed.
- Works with and coordinates activities with other job classifications.
- Follows safe work practices and all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Performs maintenance and documents work in the plant's CMMS (Maximo).
- Reads and understands shop orders and bill of materials.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Work as a member of a team and independently. Desire to advance to higher level maintenance and/or mechanical technician roles.
Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $24.00 to $30.00 hourly.

Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably a fabrication and assembly shop.
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience working in mechanical trades such as auto repair, HVAC, plumbing, etc.
- Trade school certificate in mechanical or electrical trade.
Additional Information
- Must be able to perform work with appropriate PPE for work (safety toed shoes, safety glasses, bump cap/hard hat, etc.)
- Time will be split between maintenance work and assembly work. Bending, kneeling, fine motor work, using various hand tools and PVC bonding materials (glue, primer).
- Ability to operate power tools such as drills, grinders, and saws.
- Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles and equipment for moving pallets and skids is required.
- Some sitting and computer work is required. CMMS and SAP.
- Some unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs. is required – nearly all heavy parts movement assisted with cranes/hoists and pallet jacks.
