Position: Marketing Manager ( CONTRACT – HYBRID)

Marketing Manager, Brand Stewardship

Reporting to the Sr Director, Enterprise Brand Management, this role helps manage brand stewardship and governance development across employees, partners, and agencies. This individual is responsible for fostering a culture of brand excellence by driving the adoption of tools, systems, and processes that protect and grow the brand.

To succeed, this individual will support brand building, strong collaboration, leadership and communication skills.

As part of the Enterprise Brand Management team, this individual supports our teams and partners to have the best building blocks to enable exceptional marketing, creative, and content that advances the brand and drives business performance.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Brand Building As a member of the Brand Stewardship, this individual supports marketing, communication, creative partners and operations to ensure alignment with team priorities. They will shift to support key priorities within the Brand Stewardship team and Enterprise Marketing Team as needed.
  • Brand Center Site Experience This individual is responsible for the Brand Center experience, maintenance and agency management of United Health Group, Optum and United Healthcare Brand Centers. This includes the ongoing management of the Optum Brand as it relates to the Optum guidelines including Optum creative reviews with Creative Partners, Creative Council meetings, Canva templates and brand guidelines updates.
  • Primary Brand Identity Management You will manage Enterprise Brand training and visual brand identity guidelines development.
  • Brand Sponsorship Lead This role is responsible for developing and planning Sponsorship initiatives for Tier 2 and 3 projects.
  • Licensed Content and Partnerships This individual will manage, in partnership with EBM leaders, sourcing and key stakeholders, licensed contract to ensure compliance and productivity of licensed content. (Canva/Adobe/Getty/Shutterstock/Monotype/MCKL)
Required Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years of experience in marketing or communications
  • B2C and B2B marketing experience
  • 5-7+ years managing communication with various business partners (i.e., senior leaders, sales leaders, or technical partners)
  • Experience in campaign management or development
  • Support in executing multi-channel projects (web, email, content or digital)
  • Experience in marketing project management (from concept to in-market)
  • Experience communicating business results across channels and leadership levels
Preferred Qualifications
  • Health care industry experience
  • Brand marketing experience
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Anticipate project needs, determine plans and communicate to key stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset to stay current with industry trends and apply them to daily work
  • Solid writing skill
