- Hourly Wage: $30.15 - $33.30 per hour based on years of experience
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) shall perform in accordance with state and local laws and within the guidelines of the professional organization. All functions shall be performed in accordance with established policies and practices.
Required Qualifications- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice.
- Effective communicator with staff, families, and outside agencies.
- Ability to prioritize duties.
- Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
- Ability to understand residents’ charts, doctor’s orders, residents’ plan of care, and medication orders.
- Possess the ability to effectively gather clinical data regarding resident status and condition.
- Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing, and documentation.
- Listen to shift report and keep open lines of communication with supervisor, co‑workers and incoming shift.
- Make rounds to residents to observe their physical and psychosocial status.
- Assign personnel appropriately to meet resident needs.
- Ensure that unit personnel and volunteers on your shift are carrying out their assignments.
- Maintain competence in all required skills within the facility.
- Treat and ensure that residents are treated with respect and dignity.
- Observe, record, and report to supervisor regarding residents’ conditions, reactions to drugs and treatments, and significant events.
- Maintain all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner according to policies and procedures of the facility, including documentation of medications, treatments, restraints, psychotropic medications and skin condition.
