Required Skills & Experience Must Haves Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent relevant experience 3+ years of experience in a laboratory, quality, test, or R&D environment Experience with analytical laboratory techniques such as:
Weighing samples Pipetting Reading a meniscus Using balances and stir plates Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience documenting test results, laboratory data, or technical reports Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship Nice to Have Skills & Experience Medical device industry experience Chemistry or Biology background Product testing or validation experience Design Verification (DV) testing experience Experience with CAPA, failure analysis, NCEP, or DDA investigations Experience supporting audits in a regulated environment Continuous improvement or process improvement experience Experience maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Job Description Insight Global is seeking an R&D Technician II to support a leading medical device manufacturer in Arbor Lakes, MN. This individual will join a high-performing cross-functional team responsible for performing routine medical device particulate testing and ensuring the delivery of accurate, high-quality results. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced laboratory environment, and possesses strong documentation and analytical skills.
This role will support testing activities, data analysis, failure investigations, process improvements, and quality initiatives while maintaining compliance with all quality and regulatory requirements
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Perform routine testing activities following established procedures and protocols Record, analyze, verify, and report test results Create and maintain laboratory documentation, data files, and test records Troubleshoot testing issues and identify root causes Support product failure investigations and quality-related activities Assist engineers with CAPA initiatives, qualification activities, and testing projects Generate and maintain documentation including change requests and testing records Participate in continuous improvement efforts Communicate testing results and findings to cross-functional teams Support internal and external audit activities as needed Maintain compliance with quality systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and fixtures
