Job Summary:
We’re looking for an experienced Prep Cook to join our team at our clients' Cajun-style restaurant. The ideal candidate will have prior kitchen or food service experience, strong attention to detail, and a passion for great food. You’ll be responsible for prepping ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the line during busy service.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare ingredients for Cajun-style dishes, including chopping, slicing, seasoning, and measuring according to recipes.
Assist cooks and chefs with daily kitchen prep and cooking tasks.
Keep prep stations stocked, clean, and organized throughout the shift.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen.
Properly label, date, and store ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
Support the team with dish washing and end-of-shift kitchen cleanup as needed.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
Communicate clearly and work as part of a team to deliver quality food consistently.
RequirementsQualifications:
Kitchen or food service experience required (minimum 1 year preferred).
Knowledge of Cajun cuisine or willingness to learn our menu and style.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Able to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
Food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain one.
Schedule:Flexible shifts (days, nights, and weekends as needed).
