Job Overview

The ideal Salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and is capable of cultivating and growing a customer following, both digitally and in-store.

• Set and achieve sales goals for in‑store and digital selling, utilizing tools such as text and social media.
• Build lasting relationships with customers and provide the best service on their terms.
• Offer honest, confident feedback about style and fit.
• Seek fashion and product knowledge to build expertise.
• Assist the team in keeping the department customer ready by filling orders, stocking, re‑merchandising, managing price markdowns, and performing light cleaning.
• Grow relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and occasionally perform duties in other departments as needed.

Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers. Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Hourly rate: $20.30 – $21.10 (depending on location, experience, and knowledge). Commission varies by merchandise: apparel, shoes, and accessories range from 3% to 14.5%; beauty and men’s fragrance sales receive 3%.
