    Summary/Primary Objective of Position:

    To create a fun learning environment during the diving classes. Coaches should be able to empower every participant with the skills, knowledge, and confidence in their diving ability.

    Typical Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Teach diving lessons.
  • Greet visitors and provide information on pool and diving facilities.
  • Enforce pool policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies.
  • Complete records and reports as needed.
  • Monitor facility and equipment to ensure safety.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
  • Training and Experience:

  • Completed a minimum of 2 years of participation in any competitive diving program. (club team, high school, college, etc.)
  • Evidence of previous successful coaching experience preferred.
  • Licensing Requirements:

  • MN coaching license preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in diving safety and techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership and public relations skills.
  • Evidence of passion for working with children.
  • Evidence of positive interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to both children and adults.
  • Evidence of ability to accept direction and work as a team member.
  • Evidence of understanding of and willingness to abide by confidentiality policy and practice.
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative.
  • Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
  • Evidence of good human relations skills in working with students, staff, parents and community
