We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Billing Specialist to manage the financial transactions and documentation within the Logistics Billing department. This role is responsible for processing interline payables, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, ensuring billing accuracy, and verifying payments through a 3-way matching process. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Logistics Billing Specialist

Reports to: Accounting Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Pay Rate: $18.00/HR

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process interline payables, accounts receivable, and accounts payable transactions.
  • Verify and reconcile billing charges to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain and track documents related to assigned loads, carriers, and agreed-upon rates and fees for customers.
  • Perform 3-way matching verification for invoice payment processing.
  • Review, sort, and match invoices and check requests.
  • Set invoices up for approval and payment.
  • Reconcile payments and resolve any invoice discrepancies.
  • Communicate with vendors and respond to billing inquiries promptly.

Education and Experience:
  • 1–2 years of relevant work experience required.
  • At least 6 months of experience with Truck Mate Software.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.
Computer

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to work with automation tools.
Reasoning & Communication

Skills:

  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. as needed.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer.
  • Occasional walking and stair climbing.
Work Environment:
  • Distribution center setting with varying temperatures.
  • Office and warehouse exposure requiring adaptability to different environments.
