Position: WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership by coordinating and executing workflow throughout the warehouse, prioritizing safety, sanitation, cost control, productivity, accuracy, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a visible leader within the Cold Crew, fostering positive relationships with staff and upholding company culture.
  • Participate in employment-related decisions (hiring, promotion, terminations).
  • Prioritize, supervise, and direct various warehouse tasks and customer requests, allocating labor as needed.
  • Determine overtime requirements and seek approval from management.
  • Supervise and respond to incidents, injuries, and near-misses; conduct investigations and log reports into the safety system.
  • Participate in the corrective action process and address interpersonal issues, seeking guidance from upper management or HR.
  • Coach, provide feedback, and train staff to continuously improve labor efficiency.
  • Approve timecards, assist with scheduling, and manage time‑off requests.
  • Conduct performance reviews of team members, ensuring clear and constructive feedback.
  • Ensure adherence to warehousing practices, food safety standards, customer SOPs, and inventory accuracy, maintaining an inspection‑ready facility.
  • Act as liaison between warehouse staff and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving to manage truck docks, trailers, and pallet flow.
  • Execute tasks within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to assign doors, direct tasks, manage inventory, and address exceptions.
  • Collaborate with co‑workers to troubleshoot and resolve warehouse issues efficiently.
  • Serve as escalation point for various matters, resolving issues as needed.
  • Occasionally perform Warehouse Associate and Lead duties based on business demands.

What We Are Looking For
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; 2+ years of college or 2–3 years Team Lead/Supervisor experience (preferred)
  • Experience: Warehouse supervision and operations in a food or temperature-controlled environment; radio frequency and other warehouse computer applications (including MS Office); detail- and customer service-oriented; planning, organizing, written and oral communication, problem solving, decision making, excellent math skills.
  • Abilities: Lead and influence others; handle multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced team environment; work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements & Accommodations
  • Lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with assistance; lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Operate in temperature range +50°F to –30°F, moderate noise levels.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods; use hands to handle tools; lift overhead when required.
  • Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment.
  • May operate a registered motor vehicle as part of daily tasks.
