About the Opportunity
Enforce the policies and procedures surrounding food safety and hygiene in the facility. Ensure all sanitary standards are met and work closely with the management team to resolve all cleaning and safety related issues.
Essential Job Functions- Maintain a high level of food safety and product quality through cleaning and sanitation of equipment, utensils, and the facility.
- Maintain the master sanitation schedule and cleaning checklists.
- Assist with developing training programs and train sanitation workers on an ongoing basis, documenting all training processes.
- Monitor the mixing and use of chemicals to prevent misuse and hazards.
- Create and distribute work schedules to sanitation workers and ensure proper execution of daily cleaning duties.
- Perform inspections, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with regulatory authorities and company protocols.
- Keep detailed records of all sanitation-related activities and issues, including inspections, violations, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate and execute all cleaning activities with the sanitation team and, when needed, with production or maintenance.
- Apply understanding of industry laws, consult with management on compliance issues, and make recommendations to improve processes.
- Manage vendor relationships for cleaning supplies.
- Report all food safety related issues immediately to the Quality or Operations Manager.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of sanitation processes, provide feedback, and act as Safety Advocate for the facility.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (desired).
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year related experience or training.
- Ability to lead a group of employees to safely perform tasks and develop job-related abilities.
- Ability to interpret instructions both oral and written.
- Understanding of quality standards, methods, and reporting.
- Problem solver and team player.
- Basic knowledge of office equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting. Requires walking, standing, lifting, and bending for the duration of the shift. Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs. 2nd shift:
Monday‑Friday 3:30pm‑12am.
Expected hourly wage: $23.50.
