Milling / Turning Machine Operator – 1st Shift | High-Volume Job Shop

A well-established machine job shop is hiring a Milling / Turning Machine Operator to support high-volume production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on machine operation, steel material handling, and precision measurement across both custom and production runs.

• Operate milling and turning machines to produce industrial parts
• Load and unload steel materials throughout the shift
• Run production jobs, producing high volumes of parts daily
• Perform inspections using a tape measure and basic measuring tools
• Read and interpret blueprints and machining drawings
• Complete machine setups and changeovers as needed
• Use hand and power tools to support operations and adjustments
• Maintain a clean and organized job shop environment
• Follow all safety procedures and work as part of a team

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minooka, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
