Diesel Mechanic

Diesel Mechanic (Open) – Minooka, IL (AMG) – Bulk cryo logistics

Pay Range: $28–$31 per hour (depending on experience). Sign‑On Bonus: $5K (paid in installments). Quarterly Incentive Bonus: $2000. Driver Referral Bonus: unlimited. Travel allowance: 10%. Work schedule may include extended hours, shift work, on‑call nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on diesel tractors, cryogenic trailers, tube trailers, and specialized company equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot highway delivery equipment, including hydraulic pumping and product transfer pumps.
• Develop and implement solutions to streamline operations within the supply chain and logistics environment.
• Read and interpret equipment condition reports, repair orders, and maintenance software.
• Communicate with supervisors and operators to clarify problems and discuss preventive techniques.
• Promote safety as the top priority and strive toward zero defects in processes and products.
• Ensure all assets remain safe, reliable, and fully compliant with DOT regulations and internal Airgas Merchant Gases procedures.

• At least 2 years of experience in highway equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools; must own a set of hand tools.
• Fluency in English, both verbally and written.
• Computer literacy (Google Chrome, TMT, on‑board OEM diagnostic systems).
• Experience diagnosing ABS and DEF systems, including maintenance software programs.

• High school diploma or GED; technical school coursework preferred.
• Basic knowledge of transportation regulations.
• Class A CDL with Haz Mat; DOT brake certification (not required).
• Exposure/experience in cryogenics.
