R Diesel Mechanic (Open)

Location:

Minooka, IL (AMG) – Bulk cryo logistics

Work Schedule:

Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate. On call nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Pay Range: $28–$31 per hour (depending on experience and expertise).

Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000, paid in increments.

Quarterly Incentive Bonus.

Driver Referral Bonus: $2,000, unlimited.

Travel: 10%.

• Inspect, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and specialized company equipment.
• Diagnose and repair highway delivery equipment such as hydraulic pumps and product transfer pumps.
• Develop and implement solutions to problems within the supply chain and logistics environment.
• Perform diesel tractor, cryogenic trailer, tube trailer, and associated equipment troubleshooting/repairs in accordance with Airgas policies and DOT regulations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, and read/interpret condition reports and repair orders.
• communicate with supervisors/operators to clarify problems and discuss preventive techniques.
• Promote safety as a priority and pursue processes/products toward zero defects.

• Minimum 2 years experience in highway equipment maintenance.
• Experience with basic hand and power tools.
• Own hand tools.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).

• High school diploma or GED; technical school classes preferred.
• Basic knowledge of transportation regulations.
• Class A CDL with Haz Mat; DOT brake certification preferred.
• Computer literacy (Google Chrome, OEM diagnostics).
• Solid diagnostic experience in ABS/DEF systems.
• Cryogenics exposure/experience.
