Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in Ogden, Utah, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations by ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in various accounting processes and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Review and validate daily invoice transactions from multiple locations to ensure accuracy.

- Conduct audits of daily financial reports to identify discrepancies and maintain compliance.

- Monitor and verify the proper entry of financial data into accounting systems.

- Process invoices, including coding and reconciling them with purchase orders and payment records.

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

- Perform data entry tasks to maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

- Support routine financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve any invoicing or payment issues promptly.

- Maintain adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures.

- Deliver regular updates and reports to supervisors regarding accounting operations. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

- Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong skills in data entry and financial record management.

- Experience with invoice processing, including coding and reconciliation.

- Ability to conduct audits and identify discrepancies in financial reports.

- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

- Familiarity with accounting software systems and tools.

- An accounting degree is preferred but not required.
