Route Settlement Clerk
The Route Settlement Clerk contributes to the success of Northern Companies of Minot by maintaining accurate and timely completion of daily sales transactions, accounts receivable records, maintenance of system databases, and general administration and reporting. This is a part-time position offering flexible hours! Qualifying experience for CPA License applicants and internship opportunities are also available.
Essential Job Functions
- Daily reconciliation and closing of route sales
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records
- Route accounting
- Perform both daily and monthly reconciliations
- Resolve discrepancies in a professional manner
- Complete month-end tasks including: monthly reports, general ledger entries, and accrual entries
- Perform general administrative support such as copying, faxing, filing, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
High school diploma
Experience in general accounting activities is preferred
Skills/Abilities
Solid overall general skills in math and numbers work, computer and 10-key entry, organizing, and communicating in both verbal and written form
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
Working knowledge of accounting principles
Sound judgment, accuracy, and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Maintaining a positive attitude while working as a team player
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Starting wage is $18.38 - $20.00 per hour (depending on experience). This is a part-time role - work between 20 - 32 hours per week. Total # of hours worked is flexible!
