The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach in‑person at Minot Air Force Base, ND, supporting UMGC’s Finance and Economics program. This role is part of UMGC’s mission to serve adult learners and the U.S. military community.
Course DescriptionPrinciples of Macroeconomics (ECON 201) – an introductory course that examines the macroeconomy and applies core macroeconomic theories to real‑world issues. Topics include economic growth and technological innovation, unemployment and inflation, monetary and fiscal policy, and macroeconomic performance and stability.
Required Education & Experience- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Professional experience in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Experience teaching adult learners in higher education and online environments is strongly preferred
- Availability to teach on‑site at Minot Air Force Base, ND
- Terminal (Ph.D.) degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification
- Actively engage students through meaningful and frequent interaction
- Guide collaborative, problem‑based, and project‑based learning experiences
- Provide timely, constructive feedback using assessment rubrics
- Demonstrate current subject‑matter expertise and connect concepts across courses
- Support continuous improvement by providing curricular feedback to program leadership

Assistant Adjunct Professor:
- No Terminal Degree: $877 – $1,127
- Terminal Degree: $1,023 – $1,288
Associate Adjunct Professor:
- No Terminal Degree: $947 – $1,205
- Terminal Degree: $1,202 – $1,483
Adjunct Professor:
- No Terminal Degree: $1,023 – $1,288
- Terminal Degree: $1,347 – $1,645
