Job SummaryThis position maintains training and standardization/evaluation records for a B-52H squadron. Minot is resourced with one additional training and stan eval position relative to the other bomber bases, so the workload is shared rather than carried by a single person.
Responsibilities and Duties- Maintain PEX and locally developed database systems as training and evaluation events are completed.
- Conduct weekly individual gradebook checks against personnel training and ancillary training requirements.
- Keep student and permanent party records, folders and grade books current under AFI 11-202V1, AFI 11-2
MDS-V1, associated supplements and local guidance. - Work with Aviation Resource Management personnel on Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) updates.
- Provide weekly updates to squadron or group leadership on the flight and readiness status of personnel, supporting duty status tracking and performance report and decoration accomplishment.
- Build periodic training and testing plans for approval and scheduling.
- Compile the monthly Aircrew Qualification Level Summary (Letter of Xs) for Wing Current Operations and Wing Stan Eval before the end of each month.
- Administer classes and exams, coordinating with scheduling for Crew Resource Management, Instructor CRM, Instrument Refresher Course and other grounding or pre-deployment requirements.
- Prepare AF Form 4324 worksheets, training aids, Ready Aircrew Program reporting and monthly aircrew probation and regression summaries.
- Active SECRET clearance, or a previously held SECRET clearance that expired and was not revoked.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with PEX or a similar proprietary scheduling program.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Access, Excel and SharePoint.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a squadron, group and/or wing training and/or stan eval shop — OR — three (3) years in a DoD flying squadron, group and/or wing equivalent training and/or stan eval office.
Specific qualifications may be waived by the Government case by case where a candidate has the knowledge and skills to readily support the mission. Examples include scheduling experience built on a system other than PEX, and training or stan eval experience from another service or from a missile unit. Candidates who meet most of the listed qualifications are encouraged to apply.
SECURITYREQUIREMENTS
- You must be a U.S. citizen.
- You must hold an active SECRET clearance, or have held one that expired without being revoked.
- You must be eligible for access to Restricted Data.
- Work is performed at the SECRET level.
- On site at Minot AFB, North Dakota. Not a remote position.
- Full time at 1,880 hours per year over 47 weeks. Core hours are typically eight hours a day, five days a week, set by the Contracting Officer's Representative.
- Around exercises and holidays the duty day may shift, capped at nine hours, with 48 hours notice of any known change.
- Standard federal holidays apply, plus AFGSC Family Days.
- Minot is resourced for four Aircrew Scheduler positions and four Operations Training and Stan Eval positions, one more training and stan eval position than the other bomber installations.
- Start is anticipated on or about 26 September 2026; all positions filled by 26 October 2026.
- Pay is negotiable based on experience. Medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off and 401(k) are included.
- Base period followed by four one-year option periods.
Minot AFB is located north of Minot, North Dakota, a city of approximately 48,000. Winters are severe. Housing costs are low, commute times are short, and the nearest larger metropolitan areas are several hours away.
