Engineering Technician III

Step into a lead field inspection role where your construction knowledge and sharp observational skills keep major civil projects on track. As an Engineering Technician III, you'll serve as the on-site expert verifying materials, coordinating testing, guiding contractors, and representing the project team with professionalism and confidence.

• Thorough understanding of plans, specifications, and related contract documents as well as their application for project observation.
• Answers inquiries and complaints from residents and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Coordinates on‑site testing per the contract documents.
• Verifies and documents materials prior to installation.
• Obtains measurements and detailed progress information of construction activities.
• Identifies potential issues and notifies Engineer or Project Manager.
• Leads construction and public meetings related to the assigned project with support of Engineer and Project Manager.
• Serves as Lead RPR with minimal supervision.
• Assists with mentoring team members with support from Group Leader / Sr Group Leader.
• Follows specific instructions with minimal supervision.
• Understands and complies with company mandated safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
• General knowledge of the construction industry.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.
• Ability to perform physical work (e.g., strenuous walking, lifting 50+ pounds, manhole covers, hauling field equipment, etc.).
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work the same hours as the contractor, up to 16 hours per day when indicated.
