Salary Range: $24.30 To $36.08 Hourly
The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Water Plant Instrumentation Technician at the Biota Water Treatment Plant. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants and will remain open until filled.
Nature of WorkThis is a responsible technical position performing a variety of duties operating and maintaining various monitoring and control systems used in water treatment systems, along with laboratory and computer equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Water Treatment Plant Foreman.
The employee may be required to provide training on proper operation and maintenance of water plant SCADA systems, various information technology, instrumentation and laboratory equipment. Please see attached job description for complete details.
Education, Experience, Other Requirements- Completion of high school or trade school in Instrumentation or Electrical Licenses, preferably including classes in chemistry or related subjects, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to obtain a valid state health department Water Treatment Certificate I or higher
- Possession of a valid North Dakota driver’s license.
- The assigned salary range for Water Plant Instrumentation Technician under the 2026 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 56, with a starting hourly wage of $24.30-$36.08 per hour.
- This is a full time, FLSA non-exempt position eligible for overtime.
