Water Treatment Plant Operator I
The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Water Treatment Plant Operator I located in either Max at the Biota Water Plant or the Minot Water Treatment Plant. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants.

Nature of WorkThis is entry-level technical work assisting in the proper and effective operation of a water treatment plant. Employees in this class will work under direct and continuing supervision of an administrative superior until receiving a Grade I certification from the North Dakota State Department of Environmental Quality. Education, Experience, Other Requirements- Completion of high school and one year of experience in general laboring and construction work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Possession of a valid North Dakota Driver License.
- Possession of or ability to obtain, within probationary period, a North Dakota Commercial Driver License with proper endorsements.
- The assigned salary range for the position of Water Plant Operator I under the 2026 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 50, which is $20.96 per hour- $31.11 per hour or $43,593- $64,713 annually.
- This is a full time, FLSA Non-Exempt position eligible for overtime.
