Position: GENERAL ENGINEER with Security Clearance
Duties
* Serves as the Air National Guard SME and enterprise-wide Program Manager for the energy and energy resiliency contracts.
* Manages and oversees functions on all ANG headquarters energy and energy resiliency special programs.
* Functions as the subject matter expert concerning adequacy, propriety, and direction of administrative and current functions operations associated with the Air Force-level program.
* Prepares professional playbooks, articles, implementation plans and guidance, program policy letters, training and other official publications and forms of information transfer. In order to support, the Air National Guard and balancing the state/territory and federal missions.
* Represents the Air National Guard on committees and technical working groups, staying current on policy and technical development, and advises on Air National Guard level decisions and policy. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.

* Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
* The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
* Employee may be required to work overtime.
* A current Professional Engineer License (PE) is required.
* Incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and as necessary to meet regulatory guidance.
* This position meets the professional exemption criteria for the Fair Labor Standards Act (5.CFR 551.207).
* The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position in order to operate a military or rental vehicle.
* May perform other related duties as assigned.
* This is a Centrally Managed Position in the Engineer Career Field. PCS will be paid in accordance with JTR Vol. 2 and applicable Air Force Regulations.
* This is a pre-employment physical position. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions. BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Degree:
Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships);

(c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. OR Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.

The adequacy of such background must be demonstrated by one of the following:
* Professional registration or licensure -- Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT)1, or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
