Overview

Position Summary The Radiation Therapy Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for the Radiation Oncology department, ensuring the safe, precise, and patient-centered delivery of radiation treatments. This role directs the daily activities of radiation therapists, dosimetrists, and other support staff while promoting adherence to established clinical protocols, safety regulations, and quality standards. Working collaboratively with the Cancer Care Director, physicists, and oncology providers, the Radiation Therapy Manager supports accurate treatment planning, regulatory readiness, and continuous improvement efforts.

The position also contributes to billing practices, workflow optimization, and departmental processes, functioning within a collaborative and supportive team environment focused on delivering excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the Radiation Oncology department to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate delivery of radiation therapy services.
  • Supervise radiation therapists, dosimetry personnel, and other assigned staff, providing direction, coaching, scheduling support, and performance feedback.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards, ensuring appropriate documentation, quality checks, and equipment protocols.
  • Collaborate with oncology providers, medical physicists, and the Cancer Care Director to support treatment planning, workflow efficiency, and patient experience initiatives.
  • Assist with billing review, charge accuracy, and administrative processes to support operational integrity.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, ethical practice, and continuous improvement within all radiation therapy operations.
