Job Summary
As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you will build and maintain advanced data pipelines and platforms that transform structured and unstructured data into actionable insights for mission‑critical projects.
Responsibilities- Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, and data consumers in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
- Design, build, and sustain scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
- Convert and format data into usable formats and support platform scaling, monitoring, and operation.
- Assist in assessment, design, development, and maintenance of data platforms for clients.
- 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores for business analysis.
- Experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
- Experience in collaborative, cross‑functional team environments.
- Ability to develop scripts and programs for data conversion, scaling, monitoring, and operation.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Secret clearance required.
- Experience with SQL or Scala application development.
- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with distributed data tools such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, or Kafka.
- Experience with real‑time data and streaming applications.
- Experience with No
SQL (Mongo
DB, Cassandra). - Experience with data warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake, MySQL).
- Experience with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting.
- Experience with Agile engineering practices.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for classified information. Secret clearance is required.
CompensationSalary range: $62,000 – $141,000 (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, retirement, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care.
