Job Summary

As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you will build and maintain advanced data pipelines and platforms that transform structured and unstructured data into actionable insights for mission‑critical projects.

• Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and data consumers in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
• Design, build, and sustain scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Convert and format data into usable formats and support platform scaling, monitoring, and operation.
• Assist in assessment, design, development, and maintenance of data platforms for clients.

• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
• Experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores for business analysis.
• Experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Experience in collaborative, cross‑functional team environments.
• Ability to develop scripts and programs for data conversion, scaling, monitoring, and operation.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Secret clearance required.

• Experience with SQL or Scala application development.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with distributed data tools such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, or Kafka.

Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for classified information. Secret clearance is required.

Salary range: $62,000 – $141,000 (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, retirement, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care.
