A well‑established Federal General Contractor is seeking an experienced Federal Superintendent to manage a major U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project valued at $145M
. This role will serve as the sole Superintendent on site, partnering closely with the Project Manager to lead safety, quality, schedule, and budget from ground‑up through closeout. You’ll oversee site development, utilities, structure, MEP, and finishes while managing subcontractors and field operations.
This position reports directly to the Field Operations Manager and will work alongside 3 QCMs and an SSHO, with PM/PE support out of Colorado.
Project extension negotiations currently run through February 2027
.
- Lead field operations including safety, quality, schedule management, and budget oversight
- Identify and manage pre‑mobilization activities with the Project Manager
- Develop project start‑up schedules and manage ongoing construction schedules in the field
- Establish and implement the Project Baseline Schedule
, incorporating subcontractor input - Ensure key project benchmarks and milestones are properly scheduled and tracked
- Review subcontractor/vendor scopes of work in collaboration with the PM
- Provide daily subcontractor supervision and site logistics management
- Lead all onsite meetings, field documentation, and administrative tasks
- Drive project through completion including punch list and closeout
- Ensure alignment with company operational standards throughout the project lifecycle
- 5+ years of Federal Construction experience as a Lead Superintendent
- Must have experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects
- Proven success managing projects $10M+
- Strong expertise in site development
, utilities, site amendment, and grading - Ability to lead teams, coordinate with PM/PE partners, and manage large‑scale federal job sites
- Background working alongside QCMs and SSHOs on federal contracts
- Prior experience supporting remote PM/PE teams
- Strong negotiation and subcontractor management skills
