This is a seasonal position; you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year‑round.
Typical schedule is eleven days on from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM followed by three days off.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform daily equipment, walk‑around, and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
- Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling, and cleaning) on bulldozer.
- Safely and properly operate bulldozer.
- Construct drain field and ditches as needed.
- Prepare site for aggregate mining and stockpile millings and other aggregate products for the plants.
- Recover submerged aggregate.
- Cover fabric on job sites.
- Maintain strong customer relations with managers, supervisors, pit owners, coworkers, and other customers.
- Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written). Self‑motivated, team‑player with good interpersonal skills: ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
- Troubleshoot and problem‑solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.), monitor and discuss production problems with coworkers and managers/supervisors.
- Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety, and environmental regulation compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years equipment maintenance and operation experience.
- Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card, and acceptable driving record.
