We are seeking an experienced Plant / Mill Manager to lead a high-volume flour and grain milling operation in Minot, ND. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, 24/7 food manufacturing environment.
This opportunity is ideal for a strong operational leader with deep milling or grain processing experience who thrives on accountability, team development, and delivering measurable results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day operations of a 24/7 flour milling and grain processing facility
- Manage, coach, and develop production and operations leadership teams (approx. 6 direct reports)
- Oversee grain receiving, cleaning, milling, blending, sanitation, storage, and outbound logistics
- Drive operational performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement (SQCD metrics)
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Monitor KPIs to optimize yield, throughput, efficiency, and waste reduction
- Support capital planning, maintenance coordination, and long-term plant improvement strategies
- Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork across all shifts
- Proven hands-on experience in flour milling or grain processing operations (REQUIRED)
- Leadership experience in food manufacturing, milling, or continuous process production environments
- Experience managing 24/7 operations and multi-shift production teams
- Strong understanding of milling processes: grain receiving, milling, blending, and sanitation
- Demonstrated success using KPIs, Lean, and continuous improvement tools
- Strong communication, coaching, and team leadership skills
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Milling Science, or a related field preferred
- Prior Mill Manager, Plant Manager, or Operations Manager experience
- Background in high-volume flour mills, grain processing plants, or similar continuous-process food manufacturing
- Experience leading capital projects or plant expansion initiatives
- Strong track record of stable employment and measurable operational impact
- On-site role in Minot, ND (relocation may be considered for exceptional candidates)
- Must have relevant milling or grain processing experience
- No visa sponsorship available
- Stable work history preferred
