AGT FOODS is hiring a Safety Coordinator for our Milling Facility in Minot, ND. The Safety Coordinator ensures the overall safety of the employees and equipment that is operated at the facilities as well as demonstrates the competence to train others. This coordinator also assists and supports the Safety Manager in his/her duties.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor plant safety and compliance with OSHA requirements and Corporate Safety Policy
• Work with Corporate Safety Manager regarding safety-related programs and inspection
• Conduct risk assessment in each area and identify appropriate preventive controls
• Facilitate incident reporting, investigation, and action item completion
• Coordinate New Hire training of all employees
• Ensure training and compliance in Confined Space, Lock-Out Tag-Out and Hot Work
• Lead Plant Safety Committee
• Facilitate Plant Safety Meetings
• Participate in Plant Food Safety Committee
• Conduct regular Safety Audits in all areas of the Plant
• Certify Forklift Operators

Requirements:

• Applicant must pass a background check as well as a hair follicle drug test to be eligible for hire with AGT Foods.
• College Degree in applicable field or equivalent experience
• Needs to have knowledge on every level and safety of all equipment
• Competency of Safety for all equipment
• Familiarity with OSHA training, rules, and regulations
• Good communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to read, write and interpret documents
• Tour AGT Facilities, identifying areas in need of attention
• Must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications

Work Environment:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often with limited supervision. Ability to walk, stand, climb, lift, squat and work in confined spaces, etc.. Ability to work in a warehouse environment; hot/cold temperatures.
