DescriptionDistinctive Home & Health Care is a leading provider of healthcare to serve military installations across the United States. We are seeking to hire a full‑time Behavioral Health Registered Nurse at Minot Air Force Base.
Minimum Qualifications- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (or bachelor’s degree (BSN) from an accredited nursing program).
- Minimum three years of experience with psychopharmacological agents, including knowledge of their desired effects, side effects, complications, and accurate administration.
- Certified or certification eligible by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse with at least two years of full‑time experience in mental health.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license as required in the TO.
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
- Perform physical examinations and health history assessments.
- Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
- Administer medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions.
- Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals.
- Allocate patient care assignments based on scope of practice and skill level of personnel.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and respond promptly in emergency situations.
- Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans and actions, and to provide teaching and education for the benefit of patients, families, and the organization.
- Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
- Perform nursing services identified in the TO.
- Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
