The Hillsboro Long Term Care (LTC) facility has an opening for a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

8‑hour shifts – can be days, evenings or nights! Whatever your preference is.

Day shifts: 7 AM – 3:30 PM, evening shifts: 3 PM – 11:30 PM, night shifts: 11 PM – 7:30 AM.

PRN requirements: 3 shifts per month, including 1 weekend and 1 holiday per calendar year.

Pick up shifts to help cover for vacations, leaves and sick call‑ins.

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. The NA provides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), following the resident’s care plan. The NA is expected to adhere to infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use.

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred.
• Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of entry into the position; certification is provided by the facility.
• Completion of yearly department‑specific competency testing and maintenance of continuing education credits (minimum of 12 hours annually) and all required certifications.
• For applicable states, certification and registration with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• Potential classification as a Sanford Category II Driver, requiring a motor vehicle report, valid driver’s license, and medical certification per Sanford Driving Policy.
